Reid Formo, President

Reid was raised on a livestock and crop farm in Southwestern Minnesota. In addition to helping on the farm, he was active in 4-H and FFA showing sheep, cattle and pigs. He now works in Fitchburg, WI for a company specializing in animal reproduction. He and his family (Stephanie, Caleb, Andrew and Kaitlyn) live on a farm south of Blue Mounds, WI where they raise registered Southdowns amongst other miscellaneous projects. Besides sports and other kids' activities, the Formo's are active in 4-H and other livestock organizations to further the livestock industry and livestock showing for future generations.

Chad Kohlman, Vice-President

Chad is married to Joy and has 4 children: Isaac 15, Cora 12, Sadie 9, Lucius 7. They run 480 acres in Sheboygan Falls growing corn, soybeans and wheat. Chad also works for a commercial construction company. They have raised Southdowns since the early 90’s.  Currently they run 17 downer ewes and 25 wether type ewes producing breeding stock and market lambs for area youth. Chad currently serves as Chairman of the Sheboygan County meat animal sale committee and has been the Sheboygan county livestock judging coach for the past 6 years. In 2016, Chad started a show camp in honor of his late father to help educate the youth in the surrounding area. Chad's goal on the board is to help it grow in numbers  of members/breeders while supporting the youth in becoming lifelong participants in the Southdown industry.

​Wisconsin is fortunate to have an active and successful community of Southdown breeders and enthusiasts. We have an active Junior Association, are host to an annual ASBA Regional Show and have several opportunities to get involved in the Southdown breed each year.
